We are currently seeking an experienced Service Manager to join our team in the local area!
Position Summary: The Service Manager has the opportunity to help exceed customer expectations by providing a quality used vehicle while providing excellent customer service. The Automotive Service Manager will lead a professional, productive Automotive Service team who will meet company objectives and provide world class customer service.
The key challenges facing the Service Manager include leading and motivating a team of Automotive Service professionals that are properly servicing customer vehicles and reconditioning the appropriate number of vehicles in a timely manner.
Ongoing state-of-the-art on-line training, classroom training, mentor training and corporate office support will be available to help ensure success. A world class Automotive Service software will also help in effective and efficient performance.
Hire/train/develop top Automotive Service professionals
Achieve top level customer satisfaction scores
Obtain the necessary policy budget
Achieve the 90 day policy/warranty budget
Obtain Automotive Technician productivity goals
Achieve the weekly & monthly vehicle reconditioning goals
Team with other location team members to meet the objectives of the operating plan
Work Related Experience: 5+ years Automotive Management experience
Ability to work in a high volume, fast paced environment
Experience as an Automotive Service Manager, Assistant Automotive Service Manager, Lead Service Writer or Automotive Retail Manager is preferred
Strong customer focus including negotiation and de-escalation skills
Good business acumen
Leadership ability to include demonstrating ability to develop team members
Ability to learn and work with automotive software
Good automotive technical aptitude to work with Automotive Technicians
High degree of attention to detail
Ability to multi-task
Ability to work in a team environment
Must have a current valid driver’s license
ASE certifications preferred
Formal Education: High School/GED preferred
Must meet all the requirements for insurability by JD Byrider’s auto insurance carrier
